Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Secondary School Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the British Curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (Years 7-13). This role requires a passionate and knowledgeable educator with a strong understanding of the British education system, subject-specific expertise, and the ability to inspire and challenge students to reach their full potential.

 

· Responsibilities

· Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated, and challenging lessons in accordance with the British Curriculum framework for Years 7-13. This includes subject-specific curriculum for IGCSE and A-Level, as applicable.

· Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the British Curriculum across Secondary Key Stages, including assessment objectives, examination requirements (IGCSE & A-Level), and best practices in secondary education.

· Teach to a high standard, demonstrating deep subject knowledge.

· Adapt teaching methodologies and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students within mixed-ability classes.

· Implement a range of assessment strategies to monitor student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, and prepare students for external examinations (IGCSE, A-Level). Maintain accurate records of student attainment and provide regular reports to parents and school leadership.

· Create and maintain a well-organized, disciplined, and stimulating learning environment that promotes student engagement, collaboration, and respect.

· Provide support and guidance to students and contributing to their social, emotional, and personal development within the school community.

· Effectively integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences, utilizing digital resources and learning platforms.

· Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department and across the school, contributing to curriculum development, sharing best practices, and participating in school-wide initiatives.

· Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and school events, attending parent-teacher meetings and providing timely responses to inquiries.

· Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills, subject knowledge, and understanding of current educational research and best practices within the British Curriculum Secondary education.

· Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and child protection, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students at all times, and adhering to school policies and procedures.

 

 

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

· Proven and successful experience teaching the British Curriculum at the secondary level (Key Stages 3-5 / Years 7-13) is essential.

· Subject-specific expertise and experience at the secondary level, including IGCSE and A-Level.

· Experience teaching in a multicultural and international school setting.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills, with the ability to build rapport with secondary-aged students.

· Strong organizational, planning, and assessment skills.

· Proficiency in using technology for teaching, learning, and administrative tasks.

· A passion for secondary education and a commitment to fostering high academic standards and student success.
