Key Responsibilities

  • Provides input to identify key success factors for the Pipefitting crew.
  • Provides leadership to cause the creation of organizational structure and processes required to fully execute the requirements of services and is responsible for the execution of Pipefitting services, quality, subcontractor performance, and construction cost.
  • Evaluates Pipefitting service execution for compliance to contract, design data, schedule, cost budgets, and quality, advising the project team of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors on the to-go scope.
  • Maintains the short-range look ahead plans and discusses all deviations with Superintendent.
  • Reviews and monitors cost and man-hour budget for installation process develops an equipment and tool requirement plan and reviews it with the Superintendent.
  • Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials; systems may include pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves.
  • Welds, cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes.
  • Attaches pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, or clamps; cuts or bores holes prior to the project.
  • Installs various types of insulation and pipe covering; safely removes and properly discards old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures and IAW EPA and OSHA requirements.
  • Inspects pipes, testing for pressure and leaks; reports and/or resolves problems.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, and professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter, and trash in all working facilities and areas.
  • Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor-provided property (e.g., including government facilities, equipment, and tools).
  • Responsible for the precise execution of Company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheets.
  • Responsible to perform all assigned duties as safely and efficiently as possible to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Observes and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Performs other duties and activities as directed.

Required Academic Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in pipefitting installation, maintenance, and repair works with experience as a Foreman, Leadman, or Supervisory capacity of various construction projects is required.
  • Must have prior experience in the following tasks: installation of up to 2”-12” ductile iron & C900 pipe systems with ½ to 3 copper as a secondary Soldering, Brazing, and Silver Soldering pipe systems, gasket piping systems, flange fittings, valves, the threading of pipe, and the pressure testing of potable water lines.
  • Must be at least a High School, Technical, or Vocational course graduate is required.
    Filipino / Completed Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) course is a plus: Pipefitting and Plumbing NC II

OR

  • Kenyan / Completed craft proficiency program in building engineering section from National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) is a plus: Plumber, Pipe Fitter

OR

  • Indian / NSQF-approved training for Plumbing / Pipe Fitter trade under ATS: Level 5 is a plus.
    Must be able to utilize and operate a range of tools and equipment in installing, maintaining, and repairing pipe systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material, and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions.
  • Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission and project requirements.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must speak, read, and understand the English Language.
  • Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
  • Must have a valid country of origin’s driver’s license.
