Software Engineering and Technology Lead

The Manager shall be responsible for developing, curating, editing and re-designing the Institutes websites (ILEx ) that serve to provide valuable information to the Company’s audience (readers, viewers or listeners, depending on the format of the content), with the goal of eventually publicizing the Company’s objectives,programmes, work and services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

•  Tech support framework development and implementation
•  Platform Data & Analytics
•  Update and aggregate site manuals and video tutorials
• Line manager for at least one Programme Associate
•  Project management of the ILEx custom website build; including hiring and
  management of consultants to complete required specialist tasks
•  Designing the ILEx application, setting up the framework for both API and
  frontend; database, API design, programming (coding), testing, deployment,
  documentation, etc
•  Pull request reviews, unblocking developers, resolving technical/code conflicts,
  managing technical debt
•  Manage and maintain site; including adding new content, tech refinements
  (e.g., addressing blues host downtime issue, etc)
•  Managing users; including onboarding manuals, etc
•  Provide wider organisational support including video and content production support to improving current process and exploring more innovative approaches; fundraising/publicity support; engage in strategic planning discussions
•  Provide mentorship to junior staff, including Programme Associates and interns
