Key Responsibilities

Groundkeeper, HE OP
• Maintaining site landscaping.
• Maintaining lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf and irrigation.
• Fertilizing lawn, trees, flowers and shrubs, and spreading mulch.
• Trimming trees, hedges and shrubs, and preventing and eliminating weeds.
• Operating and maintaining hand tools, such as loppers, saws and shovels efficiently.
• Operating and maintaining trucks and power tools.
• Keeping grounds free from trash, litter and debris, and emptying trash receptacles.
• Removing snow by using shovel or snow blower.
• Clean interior and exterior areas of buildings on our campus on a daily basis, as
well as performing additional seasonal cleaning tasks.
• Pick up and remove trash and debris from the property and dispose of it appropriately on
a daily basis.
• Remove snow in winter conditions and keep outdoor areas safe during bad
weather, including spreading deicer on walkways and steps.
• Perform light excavation, using shovels, picks and other tools to dig trenches and level
ground.
• Maintain landscape and garden areas by planting grass, trimming trees and
bushes, and fertilizing flowers and other plants.
• Contact the appropriate technicians and specialists for maintenance jobs that the
groundskeeper cannot perform.
• Operates heavy duty equipment such as tractors, bobcats and backhoes.
• Possesses mechanical knowledge to perform small repairs on heavy duty equipment.
• Be able to perform preventative maintenance on heavy duty equipment.

Requirements:

Candidates must provide the following:

• A valid passport
• A valid driving license
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A reference/recommendation letter with an official company letterhead
• A valid certificate of good conduct
• Two passport-size photos
• Copies of relevant certificates
